Bedtime Book Series
AURORA, with support from the Literacy Coalition of Onondaga County, is excited to continue our Bedtime Book Series in 2026! Bringing the hearing and Deaf communities together to promote literacy and inclusion, the lively sessions will make stops at libraries across Onondaga County once again this year. Keep checking back as we update the list of upcoming live sessions below!

Bedtime Book Series
AURORA, with support from the Literacy Coalition of Onondaga County, is excited to launch the Bedtime Book Series, bringing the hearing and Deaf communities together to promote literacy and inclusion.
To increase literacy and language development for all children, AURORA will read children’s stories in spoken English and signed in ASL during story time at local libraries throughout Onondaga County.
Additionally, each participant will receive a copy of the book along with a QR coded bookmark that allows them to access an online version of the story hour so participants can re-read these stories.
This program creates a fully accessible and enriching experience for all!
Education Seminars
Join us as we celebrate Deaf Awareness Month with topics for the Deaf community.
We are excited to welcome Donna Perretta from Newcomer Cremations & Funerals as she discusses wills and pre-funeral planning.
We will also have Katie Tiisler from Syracuse Hancock International Airport talk to us about airport accessibility and REAL ID Compliance.
