Bonnie Scolaro, Priscilla Soden and Nancy Marsden of the Women of AURORA will host a fun and informative gathering of women for a light dinner and inspirational presentations by three people who have received AURORA’s services on Thursday, October 19th beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the elegant Century Club at 480 James Street in Syracuse.
This year’s speakers will be Susan Storms Gray and Gloria Applebaum. Both women have been longtime supporters of AURORA and have also received our services.
This event is borne out of the belief that a woman-to-woman approach to learning about and supporting some of the emerging programs and services to assist people with vision and hearing loss, is an effective way to meet needs and make a difference in the community.
This is the 5th year of the event that has raised funds to help children who are deaf/hard of hearing receive high-cost hearing aids that they could not have otherwise been able to afford and also assisted youth who are blind/visually impaired to learn about and obtain adaptive technology so they can succeed in school and beyond.
RSVP Required: By October 1st. Donations to support Aurora will be gratefully accepted. Wine and a light pasta dinner will be served. (Wine donated by Maximum Wine + Liquor) Call Aurora at 315-422-7263 for more information.
We’d like to thank our sponsors of this event: Geddes Federal Savings and MacDonough Enterprises, / The Deck Doctor, General Contracting, LLC.
