Children’s Hearing Aid Program (CHAP)

A partnership between AURORA of CNY, Inc. and Hear2 Learn Inc. provides low-cost hearing aids and follow-up support for families who qualify financially.

Youth and Technology Program

A technology exploration and group training program that equips youth between the ages of 8 and 14, their teachers for the visually impaired and/or parents with knowledge of the latest computers, devices, apps and technology so that to students will be better prepared to compete academically and vocationally. Students receive an IPOD touch or similar piece of equipment through this program.

Pre-Vocational Services

Youth between the ages of 10 and 21 receive a continuum of pre-vocational training, career exploration, work skills development and experience through a variety of programs.

Participants engage in interactive group trainings, mentorship relationships, community-based volunteer assignments and paid summer employment opportunities.

Programs incorporate many professionals, business leaders and human resource specialists from around the region to provide participants with the latest and best practices for career and life success.

Pre-College Program

In partnership with Lemoyne College, junior and senior level high school students from across the state attend a four week in-residence college preparatory experience. Students attend college level courses, enjoy the use of campus facilities and participate in service and recreational activities to prepare them for academic and personal success at the college level.
