New York State Fair and AURORA of CNY, Inc. Provides Sign Language Interpreting for Grandstand Concerts!
AURORA of Central New York, Inc. is once again providing Sign Language Interpreting for the Grandstand Concert Series at the New York State Fair, August 27 through September 7, 2009, in Syracuse, New York.
AURORA of CNY, Inc. has been providing professional sign language interpreter services to the Central New York community for almost 30 years and to the New York State Fair grandstand concerts for over 20 years. AURORA’s Marjorie Clere Interpreter Referral Service requires that its interpreters follow the National Association for the Deaf - Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (NAD-RID) Code of Professional Conduct.

For each grandstand concert, tickets are reserved for a special section of seats for people who need sign language interpreters. Concerts will be interpreted ONLY if a concert-goer buys a ticket in the special seating section and requests an interpreter before Friday, August 14, 2009.
To purchase State Fair concert tickets in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing area do the following:
* Call the Fair Box Office (315)487-7711 ext. 1231
* Request tickets (Limit 2 tickets per order) in the Special Needs Seating area for Deaf/Hard of Hearing
* Payments for these phone orders can be made with Visa, MasterCard or American Express
