Focus Vision Supplements Announces Donation to Aurora of CNY

Focus Select, Recommended by Leading OphthalmologistsFocus Vision Supplements is dedicated to improving the lives of patients by preserving the gift of sight through a holistic approach.  This “whole person” approach often means going beyond the medical and nutritional needs of patients and giving back to community organizations like Aurora of CNY, that support the needs of people with vision loss. In an effort to assist more individuals with Macular Degeneration, Focus Vision Supplements will donate a portion of proceeds of sales in the Central New York area from the AREDS2-based formula to Aurora of CNY.

“Aurora is so grateful to both Focus Vision and Dr. Jamison Brown from Retina Vitreous for this unique opportunity to raise much needed funds to support services for individuals with vision and/or hearing loss,” states Debra Chaiken, President of Aurora of CNY. “As people are living longer there continues to be an increase in age-related sensory loss resulting in more demand for Aurora’s services and this generous fundraising opportunity will build on our capacity to meet the needs of our community.”

As many as 11 million people in the United States have some form of age-related macular degeneration. Focus Vision Supplements is a premium line of ocular health products and stands alone as the only national brand developed by over 400 retina specialists. Though there is no known cure for age-related macular degeneration, a large-scale study (AREDS), sponsored by The National Eye Institute, found that taking high doses of particular antioxidants and zinc could promote macular health. Based on the AREDS2 study, Focus Select is a premium supplement which contains essential vitamins and minerals to support macular health.
